Job Summary: We are seeking a Junior Data Scientist to work on real-world data and machine learning projects, developing analytical solutions and models with guidance from experienced professionals. Work with data to drive strategic decisions and scalable products. We are looking for a **Junior (I) Data Scientist** to join our **Analytics Tribe**. This role is ideal for candidates who already have a **foundation in data science** and wish to **advance technically**, working on real-world data and machine learning projects with **support from more experienced professionals**. The candidate will contribute to developing analytical solutions and machine learning models, learning hands-on how data supports strategic decisions and scalable products. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Support exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, hypotheses, and modeling opportunities; * Contribute to the development of machine learning pipelines, participating in stages such as **data preparation, feature engineering, training, and validation**, under team supervision; * Support implementation and consumption of models and data via **APIs**; * Collaborate with **product, business, and engineering teams**, contributing to problem understanding and data-driven solution design; * Apply best practices in **code versioning, organization, and documentation**, with technical guidance; * Work in **cloud environments**, focusing on learning and supporting solution development and deployment; * Contribute to the team’s technical growth by sharing learnings and best practices. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Proficiency in **Python** for data science; * Familiarity with **SQL** for data querying and manipulation; * Experience with libraries such as **pandas, scikit\-learn** (or similar); * Basic understanding of **machine learning** concepts; * Familiarity with consuming or exposing **REST APIs**; * Introductory knowledge of **code versioning (Git)**; * Basic knowledge of **Power BI** for analytical support and visualizations. **Nice-to-Have (Not Required)** ----------------------------------- * Introductory knowledge of **PySpark**; * Interest in or initial exposure to **Generative AI** (prompts, RAG, agents); * Familiarity with **Snowflake**; * Basic understanding of **MLOps** or model monitoring. **Education:** * Currently pursuing or completed undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields. **Additional Information** **Benefits:** * Meal allowance * Health insurance * Dental insurance * Life insurance * Wellhub * Tranquil Mind Program * Profit-sharing program (PLR) ### **Being Together Always Is What Drives Us!!!** We are Algar, a people-first company serving people, part of the Algar Group, committed to the highest ESG standards.
