Manage production planning and control in mining Ensure operational excellence, safety, quality, and economic efficiency of the site by integrating mine and crushing operations, leading people, and ensuring compliance with the production plan and directives defined by the General Operations Manager, through the following processes: * Fully manage the unit, being responsible for mine operations, crushing (mobile and UTM), and operational results; * Plan and control short- and medium-term production, ensuring volumes, ore quality, costs, and adherence to the mining plan; * Manage mining, drilling, and blasting operations, ensuring safety, productivity, appropriate fragmentation, and regulatory compliance; * Ensure performance of the crushing plant (mobile and UTM), guaranteeing availability, specified particle size distribution, and demand fulfillment; * Manage mine geology, quality control, and production reconciliation activities; * Lead, develop, and engage unit teams, promoting operational discipline, safety culture, and high performance. * Monitor and manage performance indicators (KPIs), operating costs, and budget, implementing continuous improvement actions and operational optimization. * Report results, risks, and opportunities to the General Operations Manager, collaborating integrally with support areas and strategic interfaces. **Responsibilities and Duties*** **Translate the production plan into daily mine execution:** Break down the production plan (short- and medium-term) into mining fronts, operational sequencing, and daily/weekly targets. Define, together with teams, where to mine, how much to produce, which equipment to use, and at what pace. * **Practically lead mining, drilling, blasting, and crushing:** Integrate drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and crushing to avoid bottlenecks between stages. Adjust operational parameters according to field conditions (lithology, weather, equipment, constraints). * **Ensure ore quality and adherence to specifications:** Work directly with operational geology to: control dilution, adjust sequencing, and ensure particle size distribution and quality of crushed product. * **Monitor production, costs, and deviations in real time:** Use daily operational indicators: production, availability, productivity, cost per ton, safety metrics. Immediately address deviations by adjusting plans, resources, or strategy. * **Ensure operational safety as part of routine:** Guarantee that safety is integrated into execution, especially in: explosive blasting, equipment operation, and critical mine routines. Intervene when necessary, including halting activities. * **Directly lead field teams and mid-level leadership:** Be present on-site, conducting production meetings, shift alignments, and monitoring of targets and standards. Develop coordinators and supervisors. * **Consolidate and report results to the General Operations Manager:** Collect operational data and report performance, risks, and decisions made. We have projects at various stages of the mining lifecycle—from greenfield development to active operations—and employ over 2,100 professionals across Brazil, all committed to our purpose. Currently, we operate three iron ore mines in Minas Gerais: Baratinha and Mongais Mines, part of the Baratinha Complex, and Pedra Branca Mine. Our first iron ore operation, Baratinha Mine in the Steel Valley, began operations in 2014 and features a wet processing plant with an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons. In 2024, the Mongais project entered operation, with a dry processing capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, increasing the total capacity of the Baratinha Complex to 4.0 million tons per year. In the municipalities of João Monlevade and Itabira (MG), we launched the Pedra Branca project in the third quarter of 2025\. The project holds 130 million tons of resources, including 33 million tons of high-grade material, and full-capacity production is expected to reach 2.0 million tons per year, using dry processing only. Additionally, Bemisa operates a pilot-scale gold project in Água Azul do Norte, Pará, near the Carajás polymetallic district. Developed from the greenfield stage, the project does not use tailings dams for waste disposal and employs predominantly local workers.
