A culture of learning and growth with over 150,000 Associates **Job Description:** **Position:** Utilities Operator **Location:** Ponta Grossa/PR **Job Description:** As a Utilities Operator, you will operate and provide support to the Quality team in developing the site's regulatory documentation. You will act as a multiplier for Operations and Maintenance teams, ensuring engagement and adherence to the MSE (Mars Supply Excellence) methodology, while acquiring and refining your competencies for professional development. What are we looking for? * Completed technical course in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or related fields (Preferred: Chemistry or Wastewater Treatment); * Solid experience in maintenance or as a utilities operator; * Experience managing and controlling wastewater treatment plants utilizing Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology for biological treatment and solid separation, ensuring high efficiency in pollutant removal. * Experience operating Reverse Osmosis systems, ensuring production of high-quality water, performing analyses, identifying operational failures, and contributing to process optimization and reliability. * Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings; * Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and CMMS maintenance systems, SAP PM, and basic knowledge of quality tools and Lean (5S, TPM, PDCA, RCA, 5W, KAIZEN, etc.); * Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and basic English (reading only); * We seek an innovative individual with strong interpersonal skills who prioritizes the well-being of our end consumers. What would be your key responsibilities? * Operational adjustments of plant equipment (flow rates, sedimentation and flotation equipment, industrial sludge dewatering treatment, sludge filtration, shift checklists, etc.). Autonomous operation and maintenance of air compressors, including cleaning, filter replacement, reverse osmosis, chemical replenishment, and flow and pressure control. Analytical control of influent and effluent water quality, potable water treatment, performing chlorine analyses and corrections when necessary, and boiler (gas-fired) control. Conducting boiler, feedwater, and condensate water analyses (pH, conductivity, hardness) and making required corrections. Performing daily chemical dosing; * Collecting wastewater samples and conducting respective operational analyses to ensure that the proposed treatment meets expectations. Operational analyses are performed periodically and include parameters such as pH, SS 30’, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), IVL, IL, temperature, nutrient concentration, microscopy, hydraulic retention time, among others, depending on client infrastructure availability—ensuring optimal ETE (Wastewater Treatment Plant) performance; * Compiling daily and periodic reports containing sectoral ETE efficiency data, including general information about the treatment period—such as inflow rate, volume treated, chemical consumption, process efficiency, field data—as well as observations and possible recommendations. Managing inventory of chemicals used in the sector. Implementing the daily cleaning plan and the 5S methodology (organization), ensuring good ETE operational practices; * Applying GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards and procedures in classified areas concerning food safety, covering activities, tools, attire, and workstations. Strictly adhering to and implementing Quality Policies and Procedures across all activities. Strictly complying with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) programs and procedures, following execution protocols for critical-risk tasks such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), working at heights, confined space entry, machine guarding, chemical hazards, mobile equipment, and suspended loads, among others. Rigorously following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for energy isolation, as well as safeguards for access and contact with moving parts of machines and equipment (NR12\), before initiating operation or inspection of any equipment. Contributing to failure and breakdown analyses by applying Reliability Pillar PM tools to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, drive improvements, and reassess preventive plans. Assisting in executing preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, predictive maintenance, and inspection route plans.
