Description
We are seeking an **Occupational Safety Technician** to prevent occupational accidents and diseases, ensure compliance with Regulatory Standards (NRs), and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities
* Conduct occupational safety inspections at workplaces, facilities, machinery, and equipment
* Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and propose corrective and preventive actions
* Prepare reports, issue and monitor Work Accident Communication Forms (CAT)
* Guide employees on compliance with safety regulations
* Promote and deliver occupational safety and workplace wellness training
* Inspect fire suppression systems and protective equipment
* Implement, monitor, and evaluate the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), proposing improvements when necessary
* Provide emergency care to injured workers, administer first aid, and refer them for medical treatment when required
* Participate in onboarding of new employees, providing guidance and PPE
* Organize and conduct the Annual Internal Occupational Safety Week (SIPAT)
* Support implementation of the Occupational Health Program (PCMSO), including scheduling, referral forms, and arranging occupational medical examinations
* Assist in establishing and managing the Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA), attend meetings, and propose preventive measures
* Manage data required for e-Social compliance, as well as interface with the e-Social platform and related systems
Prerequisites
* Completed technical education in Occupational Safety
* Active registration with the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE)
* Knowledge of Regulatory Standards (NRs) and current legislation
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Prior experience in this role is a plus
