Commitment to patient safety and quality of care PHARMACY ASSISTANT \- Schedule: 12x36 \- Monday to Saturday \- Day/Night Shift Job Description: The Hospital Pharmacy Assistant will support pharmacy operations, focusing on the Surgical Block, ensuring dispensing, control, and replenishment of medications and medical-hospital supplies in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), internal policies, institutional protocols, and applicable legislation, guaranteeing patient safety and quality of care. Main Responsibilities: Separate, verify, and dispense medications and medical-hospital supplies for surgical procedures according to SOPs and prescriptions; Assemble, verify, and replenish surgical kits in accordance with hospital protocols and internal standards; Perform inventory control, including expiration dates, batch numbers, and traceability of medications and supplies; Accurately record incoming and outgoing movements in the system, following institutional SOPs; Support receiving, storage, and organization of supplies, adhering to conservation and safety standards; Respond promptly, accurately, and responsibly to Surgical Block demands; Strictly comply with biosafety, patient safety, healthcare-associated infection control, and internal policy requirements; Report non-conformities to the responsible pharmacist and support corrective actions; Assist the pharmacist in daily operational routines and internal pharmacy audits. Requirements: Completed high school education; Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician course preferred; Experience in hospital pharmacy or Surgical Block preferred; Basic knowledge of SOPs, inventory control, and good storage practices.
