




Job Summary: The Colégio Catarinense is seeking an Occupational Safety Technician to identify risks, develop safety policies, and promote a prevention-oriented safety culture. Key Highlights: 1. Conduct training and manage the Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA) The Colégio Catarinense, part of the Jesuit Educational Network, seeks a new Occupational Safety Technician to join its team, working at its Florianópolis/SC campus. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Identify and assess potential safety hazards by conducting regular inspections across all areas of the school, identifying unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or deficiencies in the work environment. * Develop and implement safety policies, including procedures and safety programs designed to minimize or eliminate risks—such as emergency response and fire prevention plans. * Deliver safety training and awareness initiatives for staff and visitors to foster a safety-conscious culture and ensure understanding of best safety practices. * Investigate accidents by analyzing possible causes and proposing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. * Monitor updates to regulatory standards and remain current on laws and regulations related to occupational safety, ensuring the school complies with all legal requirements. * Request, receive, distribute, and supervise the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by staff and third-party contractors; maintain up-to-date Certificates of Approval (CA). * Establish effective communication channels for reporting safety concerns and disseminating relevant workplace safety information. * Manage the Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA), maintaining records of all safety-related activities—including inspection reports, risk maps, training sessions, and incident logs. * Manage fire suppression systems—including smoke detectors and alarms—and oversee fire extinguishers and fire hoses. * Maintain and update the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) register. * Organize and promote the Annual Internal Safety Week (SIPAT). * Participate in internal meetings and collaborate with other departments to resolve occupational safety issues. * Attend meetings with labor outsourcing companies regarding occupational safety matters. * Monitor delegated tasks through direct contact and formal reports. * Forward incidents to the respective responsible parties. * Alert management about potential occupational safety risks facing the institution. * Oversee environmental management. * Monitor and establish work schedules. * Participate in and support event planning. * Attend study meetings and/or working groups. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed Technical Education in Occupational Safety. * Prior experience as an Occupational Safety Technician. * Solid knowledge of Regulatory Standards (NRs). **Workload:** 30 hours per week. **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday, from 1:00 PM to 7:15 PM.
