Project Planning Intern / Project Planner Intern
Job Description:
We are seeking a Project Planning Intern to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for students aiming to develop their project planning and management skills in a challenging and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using MS Project.
* Support the incorporation of subcontractor schedules into master schedules.
* Participate in updating and maintaining data reporting routines and dashboards, including progress, critical path status, and impact of deviations.
* Maintain open communication with project stakeholders, providing updates and reports.
* Assist in analyzing performance of schedule updates/revisions, applying planning techniques.
* Support compiling and analyzing scenario plans based on events or potential issues.
* Assist in aligning physical/financial performance information with the project schedule.
* Collaborate in integrating availability schedules for personnel, equipment, and other resources throughout the project lifecycle.
* Consolidate and report relevant project performance information through internal and external reports.
* Enter information into relevant systems for project, resource, and team management.
Requirements:
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
* Basic knowledge of MS Project and MS Excel.
* Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Planning and organizational capabilities, adapting to competing priorities in a dynamic global business environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with PMI project management best practices.
* Prior internship or academic project experience related to planning.
* Knowledge of data analysis techniques and report preparation.
* Proficiency in English and/or Spanish.
