Job Summary: Maple Bear Fortaleza is seeking a Portuguese Language Teacher for Elementary and High School, focused on pedagogical innovation and holistic student development, implementing the bilingual Canadian methodology. Maple Bear Fortaleza seeks a passionate Portuguese Language Teacher committed to education, pedagogical innovation, and students’ holistic development, to work with Upper Elementary and High School grades. The school adopts a bilingual Canadian methodology, emphasizing active learning, critical thinking, student leadership, and socioemotional development. Responsibilities * Plan and deliver Portuguese language classes for Upper Elementary and High School grades; * Develop reading, writing, text interpretation, and literature activities; * Design assessments and monitor students’ academic progress; * Participate in pedagogical meetings, interdisciplinary projects, and ongoing professional development; * Encourage critical thinking, autonomy, and communication skills; * Apply active methodologies and technological resources in the classroom; * Contribute to a welcoming, collaborative, and multicultural environment. Requirements * Completed undergraduate degree in Letters – Portuguese; * Experience teaching Upper Elementary and/or High School; * Excellent oral and written communication skills; * Collaborative, organized, and proactive profile; * Affinity with innovative methodologies and bilingual education; * Intermediate English proficiency is considered a plus. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in bilingual schools; * Familiarity with the Brazilian National Common Curriculum (BNCC); * Experience with interdisciplinary projects; * Postgraduate degree in the educational field.
