MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN — CONSTRUCTION PLANNING AND CONTROL
We are seeking a committed Mechanical Engineering Intern with strong analytical skills to support planning, control, and documentation of industrial construction projects, focusing on piping systems.
Main Responsibilities:
Piping and Technical Documentation
— Assist in the preparation and review of isometrics, data sheets, and piping material take-offs
— Prepare technical construction documentation (data books, progress reports, procedures)
— Read and interpret technical drawings
Planning and Schedules
— Assist in preparing, updating, and monitoring physical construction schedules
— Monitor physical progress across work fronts
Information Control and System Data Entry
— Enter construction data into management systems
— Maintain up-to-date internal tracking records for materials, services, and documentation
Procurement Requests
— Prepare material requisitions based on project bills of materials and field requirements
— Track delivery status and flag schedule deviations
Mandatory Requirements:
— Currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program, minimum 5th semester
— Proficiency in AutoCAD (reading and interpreting technical drawings)
— Intermediate Excel skills
— Availability for in-person internship with immediate start
Preferred Qualifications:
— Familiarity with MS Project
— Basic knowledge of applicable technical standards
— Experience with construction management systems (e.g., INFORMAKON or similar)
