Ensure incoming material and raw material inspections, in-process controls, finished product testing, water analysis, damage assessments, and, where applicable, environmental monitoring and residue testing — with complete result documentation, issuance of reports, and support for release decisions. Ensure the laboratory operates using appropriate, calibrated, and qualified equipment. Manage reagents, standards, solutions, materials, and supplies. Identify and evaluate new equipment; ensure replacement of obsolete or decommissioned equipment to promote modernization, operational efficiency, and process reliability. Organize and maintain the laboratory, receiving area, and inspection zone clean, safe, and compliant with internal standards and ISO 9001\. Investigate deviations, out-of-specification results, nonconformities, complaints, returns, and process or product incidents; define corrective and preventive actions, track effectiveness, and provide feedback to involved departments. Lead the quality control team, ensuring initial and ongoing training, technical performance evaluation, adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), safety, organization, documentation discipline, and procedure compliance. Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, R&D, Procurement, Maintenance, and Regulatory Affairs to support testing, line qualifications, batch adjustments, investigations, and audits. Monitor quality control indicators — including release time, rejections, retests, deviations, complaints, CAPA effectiveness, calibration compliance, sampling plan adherence, and equipment availability — reporting results to management and driving improvement actions. Participate in company-provided training and continuous improvement initiatives, applying best practices in daily work. Act as a champion for best practices both within the laboratory and across the production floor. Support the organization of documentation required by quality standards, internal procedures, and regulatory processes, as applicable. Assist in standardizing product usage instructions, technical information, and supporting materials upon request. Assist in forecasting and tracking laboratory consumables usage. Assist in creating and maintaining simple spreadsheets and controls for test, sample, and internal approval traceability. Contribute suggestions for continuous improvement, organization, productivity, and reduction of rework in quality control routines. Uphold company culture.
