Job Summary: The Environmental Management System (EMS) Analyst ensures compliance with ISO 14001, mitigates risks, and promotes continuous improvement of the organization's environmental performance. Promote continuous improvement of environmental performance The objective of the EMS Analyst role is to ensure operational and strategic compliance with ABNT NBR ISO 14001:2015, including lifecycle-based mapping of environmental aspects and impacts, risk mitigation, and strict adherence to legal requirements. This professional must promote continuous improvement of environmental performance through monitoring of indicators (KPIs), technical support during internal audits, and dissemination of sustainability culture, ensuring effective integration of environmental management into business processes and organizational strategic objectives. This position is open for hiring in São Paulo or Fortaleza, enabling greater flexibility in talent acquisition and alignment with business needs. **Responsibilities and Duties** **1\. Planning and Strategy (ISO 14001 \- Clauses 4 and 6\)** * Context Mapping: Systematically analyze internal and external issues that may affect the environmental performance of wind farms and other operations. * Stakeholder Management: Identify and monitor regulatory bodies, local communities, and investors' needs, ensuring expectations are translated into operational requirements. * Risks and Opportunities Matrix: Develop and update the EMS risks and opportunities matrix, proposing action plans to mitigate threats and leverage environmental improvement opportunities. * Aspects and Impacts: Coordinate identification and significance assessment of environmental aspects (e.g., oil consumption, noise, impact on fauna), ensuring application of the lifecycle perspective. **2\. Compliance and Operational Management (ISO 14001 \- Clauses 6\.1\.3 and 8\)** * Legal Compliance: Monitor adherence to legal requirements (federal, state, and municipal) and environmental license conditions (LO), ensuring full compliance with deadlines and obligations. * Operational Controls: Establish and supervise procedures for emission control, solid waste management, effluent management, and biodiversity conservation within the company's areas of influence. * Supplier Management: Evaluate the environmental performance of service providers and suppliers, ensuring their activities align with Casa dos Ventos' Environmental Policy. * Emergency Response: Develop, review, and coordinate emergency response plan (PAE) drills for environmental incidents. **3\. Monitoring, Auditing, and Improvement (ISO 14001 \- Clauses 9 and 10\)** * Indicator Management: Collect and analyze environmental performance data, generating management reports on natural resource consumption, waste generation, and GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions. * Internal Audits: Plan and conduct internal EMS audits (in accordance with ISO 19011 guidelines), as well as support external certification and maintenance audits. * Nonconformance Handling: Manage the nonconformance life cycle—from root cause investigation to verification of corrective actions’ effectiveness. * Management Support: Prepare technical reports for Top Management Review, evidencing EMS status and need for resources or strategic changes. **4\. Competence and Awareness (ISO 14001 \- Clause 7\)** * Training: Develop and deliver environmental training programs and weekly environmental dialogues for employees and third parties. * Environmental Communication: Serve as the technical focal point for internal and external communication on environmental topics, ensuring integrity of documented system information. * Critical Responsibilities * Certification Assurance: Maintain an auditable and compliant EMS to ensure continued ISO 14001 certification. * Legal Security: Mitigate risks of environmental violations that could lead to fines or wind farm shutdowns. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Reside in Fortaleza/CE * Lead Auditor ISO 14001 Certification: Accredited certification body (e.g., IRCA), demonstrating high technical proficiency and ability to lead complex audits. * Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001 and ISO 45001\): Technical knowledge of Quality and Occupational Health and Safety standards to operate integrally (IMS), optimizing processes and combined audits. * Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management: Knowledge of ISO 14064 or GHG Protocol for developing emission inventories. * Compliance Management Software: Experience with legal requirement monitoring tools (e.g., Ambipar/VG, Calcg, Ius Natura). * Renewable Energy: Specific knowledge of environmental impacts from wind and solar complexes (avian fauna, vegetation suppression, noise). * Root Cause Investigation: Proficiency in analytical tools such as Ishikawa (Fishbone), 5 Whys, and Problem Analysis and Solving Methodology (MASP). * Environmental Education: Methodologies for designing training and awareness programs for large groups (employees and communities). * Preferred: Master’s degree completed or in progress **Additional Information** Benefits for You * Competitive benefits package; * Learning and development opportunities.
