Job Summary:
Responsible for technical supervision of emergency care, organizing patient care, coordinating the nursing team, and ensuring safety and quality of nursing services.

Technically responsible for emergency patient care. Receive and hand over shifts, becoming aware of incidents including patients' general condition, test results, and required special care. Conduct inventory checks of materials, equipment, and medications in the unit. Complete nursing reports and daily census. Assign daily tasks to nursing technicians. Collaborate with the team in performing procedures according to medical prescriptions. During nursing rounds, verify nursing service quality indicator records. Receive and guide patients' family members in the emergency department. Perform rigorous verification of medical and nursing prescriptions during shifts. Attend meetings whenever requested by Nursing Coordination and/or Supervision. Adhere to biosafety standards and CCIRAS guidelines regarding personal protective equipment usage and disposal of infectious and sharps waste. Comply with and ensure compliance with the hospital’s general regulations, routines, and protocols.
§ Plan, organize, and execute nursing activities using routine and/or specific processes from the moment the patient enters the emergency department
§ Diagnose nursing needs and develop a care plan to be implemented by the nursing team for health protection, recovery, preservation, and rehabilitation
§ Provide high-complexity technical care to critically ill patients
§ Maintain patient records documenting observations, treatments administered, and incidents related to the patient
§ Participate in prevention and systematic control of healthcare-associated infections and communicable diseases in general
§ Act during patient death events, performing and guiding necessary procedures
§ Verify proper functioning of equipment used in nursing areas and request repairs and/or replacements
§ Participate in biosafety measures, conducting training on procedures aimed at ensuring and minimizing occupational accidents;
§ Ensure individual and collective safety by using appropriate personal protective equipment during service delivery
§ Safeguard, preserve, maintain, and clean equipment, instruments, materials, and the workplace;
