This professional will maintain plant operations through field activities, performing operational inspections, executing maneuvers during startups and shutdowns, collecting samples for laboratory analysis, and ensuring appropriate fulfillment of area requirements while complying with safety, quality, and environmental procedures. **Position: Area Operator I – Chip Preparation** **Area of Operation: Chip Preparation and Log Yard Coordination** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Maintain process operation by executing instructions received from the Panel Operator; * Responsible for collecting chip samples for analysis and calibrating process instruments; * Support implementation of factory license conditions by monitoring environmental parameters; * Monitor maintenance according to established schedules, perform equipment startup and shutdown maneuvers, and release equipment for maintenance following procedures, operational checklists, and safety regulations; * Maintain equipment availability index and identify maintenance needs for equipment exhibiting deviations, conducting Operational Inspection Routes (OIR); * Adhere to Veracel’s safety standards to prevent accidents and reduce risks, conducting the Daily Safety Dialogue (DSD); * Follow continuous improvement processes and activities within the area, contributing to problem identification and resolution; * Support improved availability × production × cost performance for the unit, including replacing wood chipper knives, requesting process consumables, and monitoring outsourced operations (cleaning, transportation, waste management); * Keep the workplace clean and organized, contributing to personal and operational safety; * Clear blockages caused by trapped logs by operating cranes/chainsaws, and transport knives, tools, etc., using forklifts; * Support the Process Facilitator (PG) when requested; * Support development and updating of area procedures when requested; **Requirements and Qualifications** **What We Expect From You:** * Completed Technical Degree in cellulose production, mechanics, or related fields; * Driver’s License Category B; * Proactivity; * Self-discipline; * Interpersonal skills. **It’s a Plus If You Have:** * Completed or ongoing Bachelor’s degree; * Experience in cellulose production activities; * Knowledge of SAP and PIMS; **Additional Information** **Benefits** Medical assistance Dental assistance Christmas basket Payroll-deductible loan Workplace gymnastics Private pension plan Variable compensation program On-site restaurant Life insurance Meal voucher Gympass We are Veracel Celulose.
