Local management of the activity implementation cycle **PROJECT CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION:** AVSI Brasil is a non-profit civil society organization established in 2007, focused on improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations. It works in partnership with international cooperation actors, public sector entities, and the private sector. Affiliated with the Italian NGO AVSI Foundation—active in Brazil since the 1980s—AVSI Brasil’s mission is to promote people’s protagonism in their own development, as well as that of their families and communities. It implements social projects based on an integral and solidarity-oriented development methodology, aimed at autonomy and human dignity. AVSI Brasil is launching a selection process for the position of Socio-Environmental Coordinator, responsible for implementing activities related to the **Community Nursery Project \- Sowing in the Sertão**, which comprises the **establishment of a seedling nursery associated with a social technology and a support center for nursery operators, informational materials, informative meetings, and training courses**, in communities within the Direct Influence Area (DIA) of the Renewable Complex located in the state of Paraíba, in the municipalities of Santa Luzia, São Mamede, São José do Sabugi, Baraúnas, and Várzea. These activities aim to stimulate endogenous development and empower social actors for independent action, strengthening the community Seed Bank’s role as a reference in supporting seedling and seed production at municipal nurseries, research institutions, and non-governmental organizations promoting regional biodiversity conservation and natural environment restoration. **BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:** The Socio-Environmental Coordinator serves as AVSI Brasil’s focal point in the project’s area of operation, responsible for local coordination, administrative demand management, and operational routine monitoring. The role includes leading a field team composed of two assistants, ensuring compliance with established targets and guidelines. Prior experience with the Community Nursery methodology applied in the project is desirable, to guarantee technical alignment and continuity of socio-environmental actions. Responsible for local management of the activity implementation cycle, adopting an integrated approach covering implementation and management aspects. The professional reports to the Special Manager based in Salvador, who supports strategic definition and acts as the focal point with the Client. **MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** Implement the project according to the technical specifications outlined in the contract, respecting timelines, deadlines, scope, and content; Monitor operational and administrative aspects of the project periodically and report findings to the designated responsible officer; Assist in procurement requests as stipulated in the approved Procurement Plan, ensuring accurate descriptions of goods and services to be contracted by the Procurement Department; Apply procedures and rules set forth in AVSI Brasil’s procedural manuals; Periodically submit project-related material to the Communications Department for publication; Contribute to drafting descriptive documents required for project accountability reporting; Represent AVSI Brasil in operational meetings and dialogues with Neoenergia’s technical team in the territory; Carry out missions and activities in other territories or AVSI offices in Brazil, if necessary; Contribute to drafting all internal reports for the Client; Participate in periodic meetings and conferences whenever required; Ensure consistent and stable presence in the project’s area of operation; Execute technical activities, ensuring that contents, methodologies, structures, and equipment are applied in a manner conducive to achieving stated objectives; Mobilize and promote dialogue to engage target audiences; Coordinate with active organizations to avoid overlap; Manage field logistics, including preparation of documentation evidencing activity implementation—e.g., Delivery Receipts for inputs, equipment, and improvements; photographic reports of activities; meeting minutes and attendance lists; Action Plans; and updates to the execution schedule; Prepare descriptive and analytical progress reports on scheduled program activities, supported by evidence and records, aligned with each program’s specific objectives, targets, and indicators;
