




Job Summary: This professional supports the development of mineral processing routes by supervising analyses, tests, and trials, and interpreting results for greenfield and brownfield projects. Supports process route studies and development by supervising the execution of chemical and technological characterization analyses, bench-scale and pilot-scale tests, including mass balance preparation and interpretation of results to inform optimal beneficiation strategies in greenfield to brownfield projects. **Responsibilities and Duties** Propose and oversee proper execution of bench-scale and pilot-scale analyses, tests, and trials through monitoring, instruction, and completion of test mass balances in both internal and contracted laboratories. Analyze results from chemical and technological characterization studies, consolidating and preparing mass and metallurgical balances. Research best practices and applicable technological alternatives to optimize mineral processing operations in greenfield and brownfield projects. Review engineering documents, indicating possible revisions or confirming existing versions. Support commissioning and start-up of mineral processing operations. Prepare various documents, including standardized procedures, technical reports, and presentations. Our projects span all stages of the mining lifecycle—from greenfield exploration to active operations—and we employ over 2,100 professionals nationwide, all committed to our mission. Currently, we operate three iron ore mines in Minas Gerais: Baratinha and Mongais Mines—both part of the Baratinha Complex—and Pedra Branca Mine. Our first iron ore operation, Baratinha Mine in the Vale do Aço region, commenced operations in 2014 and features a wet-processing plant with an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons. In 2024, the Mongais project entered operation, adding a dry-processing capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, increasing the Baratinha Complex’s total annual capacity to 4.0 million tons. In the municipalities of João Monlevade and Itabira (MG), the Pedra Branca project began operations in the third quarter of 2025\. The project holds resources totaling 130 million tons, including 33 million tons of high-grade ore; its full-capacity production is expected to reach 2.0 million tons per year, using dry processing only. Additionally, Bemisa operates a pilot-scale gold project in Água Azul do Norte, Pará State, near the Carajás polymetallic district. Developed since the greenfield stage, this project does not use tailings dams for waste disposal and employs predominantly local workers.
