Handles cargo and inspects damaged products **Role and Responsibilities:** The **Sorting Operator** performs steps in the store's product handling and forwarding process — such as preparation, sorting, and separation for appropriate treatment of store merchandise. Accountability for products transported to the department and assignment of responsibilities. A sorting operator is responsible for sorting, classifying, and organizing materials or products, ensuring proper flow to the final destination, whether within the department or at the store, or establishing recycling processes to enable resale. Tasks include handling cargo, walking through the store to inspect for damaged products, verifying received documents, and checking item quality and expiration dates.
