Job Summary: This position aims to ensure the continuous qualification of drivers, promoting safe and efficient driving practices, and guaranteeing compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Development of training and refresher programs This role is tasked with ensuring driver training and continuous qualification, promoting safe and efficient driving practices, and ensuring compliance with current legislation and company policies. This includes trip monitoring, conducting practical and theoretical tests, monitoring driver performance, and implementing training and refresher programs **Trip Monitoring:** First Stage \- Orientation: Orient new and experienced drivers on onboard truck technologies, current legislation, and best practices for safe and efficient driving. Second Stage \- Practical Monitoring: Conduct a practical trip by accompanying the driver throughout the entire route, monitoring their driving behavior and conduct along the way. **New/Inexperienced Driver (Monitoring):** Accompany the driver from start to finish of the trip — from loading at the base to delivery at the unloading point — always returning to the base upon trip completion. Complete the monitoring form available on SharePoint \- Fleet Management and obtain the driver’s signature. Archive the document for future reference. **Driver Refresher Training:** Conduct refresher training for drivers exhibiting below-average performance or excessive traffic violations. Accompany the full trip — from loading to unloading — to evaluate driver performance, returning to the base upon trip completion. Complete the refresher training form and monitor post-refresher performance to ensure drivers improve their performance. **Practical Driver Testing:** Receive dates and numbers of drivers scheduled for practical testing via HR email. Schedule and coordinate truck availability for practical tests in collaboration with the Maintenance Coordinator. Complete the practical test form and obtain the driver’s signature before the test begins. Submit the practical test form to HR for system integration. **Performance Monitoring and Additional Activities:** Monitor drivers’ average diesel consumption and, weekly, send a report via WhatsApp to all drivers, with phone calls directed to those whose averages fall below the target. Organize and coordinate the Weekly Safety Dialogue (DSS), held every Thursday at 10 a.m. Plan weekly safety and transportation topics. Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and disseminate the monthly DSS schedule, sending the visual card at the beginning of each month to allow drivers to plan their participation. Implement an ongoing qualification and safety program by sending daily content via WhatsApp — including cards and videos — with instructions on truck care, safe driving, and defensive driving. **Driver Onboarding:** Conduct driver onboarding covering the following topics: Truck models and their specifications. Safety regulations and equipment speed limits. Requirements and Qualifications: Basic computer skills Traffic legislation and safety regulations applicable to commercial vehicle operations. Onboard truck technologies and performance monitoring systems. Best practices in transportation safety and driving. Driver refresher and qualification processes. **Internal Development:** Departmental information systems; Internal processes; **Valid driver’s license compatible with nine-axle tractor-trailers (Category E);** **Willingness to travel;** Relevant work experience, as specified in service instructions. **Strong communication skills (effective verbal presentation), as this role involves onboarding sessions, training, and driver briefings regarding performance metrics.**
