Position: Junior Laboratory Analyst Department: Laboratory **Summary:** Perform sample grinding and aliquoting; be responsible for cleaning workbenches, instruments, equipment, glassware, and workstations; perform and/or be responsible for sample extraction; prepare reagents used in assays; dispose of reagents, samples, and process waste; record material inventory withdrawals; train new employees on area processes; execute the monthly quality control routine for samples; arrange corrective equipment maintenance; transcribe assay results; assist in assays and/or sample analysis and/or data analysis from physical\-chemical, macroscopic and microscopic, and immunoassay departments; manage waste for disposal; and generate assay reports. **Responsibilities** * Perform sample grinding and aliquoting using required equipment, collecting duplicate samples and grinding until achieving the size and quantity required for analysis. * Be responsible for cleaning workbenches, instruments, equipment, glassware, and workstations—washing, cleaning, and following company-defined standards—to ensure process quality and prevent cross-contamination. * Perform and/or be responsible for sample extraction using required reagents and/or equipment, reporting any deviations. * Prepare reagents used in assays according to laboratory procedures. * Dispose of reagents, samples, and process waste at locations defined by the company to ensure proper disposal. * Record withdrawals from material inventory used in analyses and notify purchasing needs via the system. * Train new employees on area processes within your scope of responsibility when requested. * Execute the monthly quality control routine for samples as per the received plan. * Perform other activities or projects within the department or company as needed. * Arrange corrective equipment maintenance by contacting external providers designated by the company and monitoring progress to ensure problem resolution. * Transcribe assay results from spreadsheets into the computerized system, ensuring complete and accurate information. * Assist in assays and/or sample analysis and/or data analysis from physical\-chemical, macroscopic and microscopic, and immunoassay departments. * Manage waste for disposal—verifying disposal needs, organizing, informing your immediate supervisor, and monitoring collection. * Generate assay reports by cross-checking system records with result spreadsheets to ensure correct and complete information. * Comply with internal health and safety regulations and those of clients. * Identify deviations, risks, and/or opportunities in your daily routine and report them to responsible parties for appropriate action planning and team alignment. * Maintain and ensure confidentiality of information. * Provide professionals with information regarding questions about completed work. * Perform additional tasks of similar nature and complexity as established for this position, observing your scope of responsibility, according to department demand and/or request from your immediate supervisor. **Technical Knowledge** **Required:** * Knowledge of laboratory techniques. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. * Preferably with laboratory and chromatography experience. **Recommended:** * Specific technical knowledge relevant to the field of operation. * Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025\. * Basic English proficiency. **Education/Qualification:** **Required:** Technical or undergraduate studies in progress **Recommended:** Completed technical or undergraduate degree **Skills:** * Proactivity * Clear communication * Eagerness to learn **Experience/Practical Exposure:** * Minimum 3 months of laboratory experience.
