What is our Data Intelligence (ID) team?
Our mission is to advance the frontiers of data and AI technologies to generate sustainable and ethical value for business units. Our teams are organized into three major pillars: analytics (focused on profit pools), platform & infrastructure, and governance & quality. Together with business units, we design and implement analytical intelligence solutions that drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and enhance customer experience.
Work model: Hybrid – 1 day onsite
Location: Curitiba – PR, Recipe – PE, or Osasco – SP
**Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities**
As a Data Scientist II, you will join the Modeling Management team, with the following key responsibilities:
* Develop, test, and enhance retail individual (PF) and corporate (PJ) credit models.
* Create, maintain, and evolve features and feature stores for analytical models.
* Apply statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to credit-related problems.
* Process and analyze large volumes of data using Python and PySpark.
* Design and execute analytical solutions in cloud environments using Databricks.
* Collaborate with the Credit Modeling team to support portfolio management and credit policy development.
* Participate in team rituals (squads and tribes), contributing to technical alignment and knowledge sharing.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
What do you need to have or know?
* Experience in modeling and machine learning techniques.
* Knowledge of statistics and applied mathematics for data analysis.
* Practical experience using Python for data analysis and modeling.
* Experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing.
* Familiarity with Databricks in data and analytics environments.
* Experience working in cloud environments (Azure preferred, but other clouds are acceptable).
* Prior professional or academic experience applying the tools mentioned above.
It’s a plus if you have:
* Experience in credit and/or collections for retail individual (PF) and corporate (PJ) segments.
* Experience with other machine learning techniques beyond credit modeling.
* Experience working in teams organized into tribes and squads, with agile rituals and cross-functional collaboration.
