Job Summary: The Automotive Upholsterer II performs maintenance and repair of automotive upholstery and interior finishes, working under direct supervision to carry out basic upholstery tasks. Key Responsibilities: 1. Replace and repair upholstery and seat coverings. 2. Fabricate and install headliner, side panel, and carpet trimmings. 3. Assemble and disassemble interior components for upholstery services. The Automotive Upholsterer II is responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicle upholstery, coverings, and interior finishes. This professional works under direct supervision, performing entry-level tasks in the field of automotive upholstery. * Replace and repair vehicle seat upholstery and coverings. * Fabricate and install headliners, side panels, and carpets in vehicles. * Repair and replace steering wheel covers, dashboards, and door trims. * Assemble and disassemble vehicle interior components to perform upholstery services. * Use appropriate tools—such as staplers, scissors, and sewing machines—to carry out required repairs. * Follow established safety and quality standards to ensure service excellence. * Assist in identifying issues and preparing estimates for upholstery services. * Maintain a clean and organized workplace, ensuring proper care and storage of tools and equipment. * Collaborate with the work team, following instructions from the immediate supervisor and contributing to smooth operational workflow.
