As a **Ramp Assistant**, you will perform ramp handling operations (sorting, loading, and unloading) for aircraft safely, efficiently, and punctually—ensuring process effectiveness and contributing to customers’ perception of the company’s services related to baggage and cargo transportation, as well as flight punctuality. Assist with aircraft arrivals and departures, and perform aircraft cleaning when required. **This position is exclusively for the Manaus Airport (MAO)!** ------------------------------------------------------------------- **Responsibilities and Duties** * Safeguard aircraft during arrivals and departures; * Inspect and safeguard baggage and cargo labels; * Place and remove wheel chocks and cones on aircraft according to the Client Manual or dnata’s MGO; * Sort baggage and cargo volumes into airport sorting areas by reading identification labels (with or without technological assistance), ensuring proper loading onto storage devices (carts and/or ULDs) for correct flights; * Load baggage and cargo into aircraft holds following standards and procedures outlined in the MGO, including special handling instructions (e.g., fragile, hazardous, live animals, perishable items); * Unload baggage and cargo by reading identification labels and place them at designated locations (baggage reclaim carousels); * Segregate baggage and cargo during aircraft unloading to facilitate flight connections through reading volume identification labels; * Inspect and monitor baggage and cargo packaging to ensure suitability for transport, thereby guaranteeing flight safety and the safety of personnel handling such items; * Properly handle and allocate baggage and cargo into aircraft holds while observing internal restraint requirements and hold height safety limits; * Unload wheelchairs or baby strollers and place them at designated locations; * Perform equipment marshalling during coupling procedures to prevent collisions with aircraft fuselages; * Handle aircraft within established timeframes for each type of operation and airport classification; * Conduct pre-use inspections of non-motorized equipment to ensure operational safety and report equipment requiring repairs to the GSE Technical Maintenance team; * Report any equipment malfunctions or irregularities to supervisors during operations. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Strong interpersonal communication skills; * Analytical ability in assessing situations; * Stress tolerance; Physical requirements include broad and fine motor coordination, dexterity, upper and lower limb articulation, bipedal posture for performing tasks, trunk rotation and flexion, physical exertion, and walking throughout the entire operational area.
