MI Electric, a national reference in electrical engineering in Brazil, is hiring a Control and Automation Engineer with solid experience to work on onshore and offshore projects based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. We seek an experienced and proactive professional, specialized with strong practical knowledge in Protection, Control, and Supervision Systems (PCSS). This professional will play a key role in the company’s project lifecycle involving automation—from conception and development through implementation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance. The primary focus will be ensuring maximum safety, efficiency, and reliability of our operations by applying best practices and advanced technologies in PCSS for power electrical systems, critical industrial processes, etc. If you have experience in Protection, Control, and Automation Systems within industrial/offshore and classified environments, and seek growth within a nationally recognized company, this opportunity is for you! Responsibilities and Duties: Technical management of automation and PCSS projects—from feasibility studies through commissioning. Coordination of teams during installation, configuration, and maintenance phases of systems. Development of engineering designs and technical specifications, including electrical and logic diagrams. Configuration and testing of devices (IEDs, protective relays, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA). Technical documentation (manuals, reports, budgets) and assurance of compliance with standards (ABNT, IEC, IEEE). Specialized technical support for clients and internal teams. Required Qualifications and Experience: Education: Engineering degree (Control and Automation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics) with active CREA registration. Experience: Proven experience in PCSS projects, commissioning, and industrial/substation automation. Technical Skills: Communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus TCP/RTU). PLC programming and HMI/SCADA configuration (Rockwell, Studio 5000, Logix). Configuration of IEDs and multifunction protective relays. Interpretation of electrical diagrams and technical standards (ABNT, IEC, IEEE) related to automation and PCSS. Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in automation, electrical systems, or PCSS. Familiarity with relay testing software (SEL AcSELerator, DIGSI, EnerVista). SCADA/HMI platforms (Elipse E3, WinCC, AVEVA). Programming (Python, C/C\+\+) and databases (SQL). Technical English (reading and communication).
