Position: Clinical Nurse Permanent or Temporary Contract? Permanent Number of Positions: 1 Working Hours and Days: Monday to Friday – 12:00 PM to 8:12 PM – 1-hour break – Alternate Saturdays – 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM Required Experience and Knowledge: Not required Hazardous or Unhealthy Work Conditions? 40% of the regional minimum wage Education: Completed Nursing degree Responsibilities Responsibilities: 1. Plan, organize, coordinate, execute, and evaluate nursing services; 2. Develop work schedules and time-off rosters for the nursing team; 3. Record observations and analyze care and procedures delivered by the nursing team; 4. Standardize nursing protocols and procedures and monitor workflow processes; 5. Implement initiatives and define strategies for health promotion within one’s area of competence and professional training, acting collaboratively with the team; 6. Participate, per the Institution’s internal policies, in projects, courses, committees, events, and training sessions; 7. Assume direct responsibility for life-threatening nursing care; 8. Deliver high-complexity nursing care (e.g., catheterization, etc.), requiring scientific knowledge and immediate decision-making; 9. Act in infection prevention and control, as well as prevention and control of transmissible diseases in general; 10. Accompany patients, when necessary, during examinations and surgical procedures; 11. Manage and assume responsibility for the Central Sterile Supply Department (CME); 12. Prevent and control potential harm arising from healthcare delivery; 13. Provide guidance and assess health-related actions for the team; 14. Coordinate actions effectively with other team professionals; 15. Design effective interventions for each implementation of surgical center processes; 16. Interact appropriately and adequately with patients, respecting their individual characteristics; 17. Possess technical-scientific knowledge related to surgical practices performed at the clinic; 18. Develop, implement, and test Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); 19. Train the nursing team, enabling them to perform care activities with sensitivity, safety, maturity, and responsibility; 20. Implement Nursing Care Systematization (SAE); 21. Humanize, enhance receptivity, improve evaluation, and ensure comprehensiveness in care delivery, aiming to provide better patient care; 22. Monitor inventory and storage of materials and medications, using digital systems; 23. Conduct quotations, negotiations, and procurement of all supplies (materials and medications) used in the surgical center and examinations; 24. Request purchase of intraocular lenses (IOLs), based on diopter requirements and physician orders; 25. Maintain equipment in optimal working condition; 26. Participate in procurement processes for nursing staff supplies; 27. Comply with technical standards regarding safety, quality, productivity, hygiene, and environmental preservation; 28. Manage Healthcare Waste, including implementation and training for each team member; 29. Plan nursing actions, identify needs and problems, establish priorities, and evaluate outcomes; 30. Perform tasks relevant to one’s scope of practice using computer equipment and software; 31. Perform other duties compatible with the functional requirements. 32. Develop and conduct monthly training sessions for the team; 33. Monitor surgical costs; 34. Monitor surgical volume (planned vs. performed cases); 35. Verify pre-surgical schedule; 36. Verify lenses, materials, and medications used in scheduled surgeries; 37. Weekly team meetings for motivation (summarizing weekly highlights, both positive and negative points); 38. Staff scheduling, workload demand, and organizing employee shifts; 39. Surgical scheduling; 40. Maintain good, courteous relations with the medical team; 41. Minimize delays and demands from surgical teams; 42. Implement nursing systematization and surgical documentation into the information system. Requirements - Prior experience in this field is preferred.
