Conduct on-site measurements and gather technical specifications of spaces where furniture will be installed. Develop technical drawings and floor plans for furniture, considering aspects such as ergonomics, functionality, and aesthetics. Select appropriate materials for furniture manufacturing, taking durability, strength, and cost into account. Previous experience as a Product Designer, Information Architect, Project Engineer, or Technical Drafter may indicate alignment with some responsibilities of this position. Completed technical education required.
