Perform adjustments and basic machine maintenance to ensure proper operation. Control extruder temperature, speed, and pressure to ensure final product quality. Monitor material flow and ensure raw material is fed correctly into the machine. Conduct quality tests on produced plastic pellets to ensure compliance with established standards. Previous experience as Machine Operator, Extrusion Technician, Production Operator, or Machine Adjuster may indicate suitability for some activities of this position. High school diploma required.
