Description
**Responsibilities:**
* Define and evolve the test strategy (test pyramid, acceptance criteria, Definition of Ready/Definition of Done, risk-based testing) together with the Product Owner and the team.
* Plan and execute functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) tests on critical flows (login, registration, payments/checkout, etc.).
* Lead E2E/UI automation using Cypress for React, covering critical user journeys, key components, and reliable regression.
* Automate and validate Node APIs (contracts, error scenarios, idempotency, versioning), using mocks/stubs when necessary.
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (execution per PR, nightly pipeline, reporting) and actively reduce flaky tests.
* Ensure mobile app quality: testing across multiple devices/OS, unstable networks, permissions, updates, and release/store checklists.
* Implement or support non-functional testing: basic performance, QA-level security (OWASP checks), accessibility, and compatibility.
* Manage bugs with rigor: reproduction steps, evidence, severity/priority classification, probable root cause analysis, and follow-up until fix/deployment.
* Track quality metrics (production defects, relevant coverage, time to resolution, test suite stability) and drive continuous improvement.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
* Prior experience as a QA (Quality Assurance) engineer or Software Quality Analyst.
* Testing Fundamentals: Deep understanding of test types (functional, non-functional, unit, integration, acceptance, regression, usability).
* Test Automation: Proficiency with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium (for mobile). Test automation is a mandatory requirement.
* API Testing: Expertise in Postman, REST Assured, or Karate for API validation.
* Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
* DevOps and CI/CD: Integration of tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
* Databases: SQL knowledge for data validation.
* Version Control: Experience with Git.
