We are seeking a Senior Software Architect to design the structure of our products and the standards that enable them to scale and endure. What you’ll do Design the architecture of our applications, defining standards and best practices that ensure code quality, security, and scalability. Select the right technologies for each problem, evaluating trade-offs among performance, cost, and maintainability. Work side-by-side with development teams, helping translate architecture into real-world solutions. **Serve as a technical reference:** guide and mentor developers, elevating the team’s technical level. Translate business needs into technical decisions, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Help shape WST’s technology roadmap, balancing business priorities with technical evolution. What we’re looking for Essential Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. 7–10 years of software development experience, including at least 3–5 years as a software architect. Proven experience leading the technical aspects of complex projects, preferably using microservices architectures. Practical experience building scalable cloud-based solutions (Azure and/or AWS). Proficiency in Node.js, React.js (or equivalents), and architectural patterns (microservices, RESTful, MVC). Experience with CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and secure development practices (OWASP/DevSecOps). Nice-to-have (bonus, not mandatory) Postgraduate degree or certifications in Software Architecture (TOGAF, Certified Software Architect) or cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). Agile certifications (Scrum, SAFe) or project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2). Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
