Information Security Consultant – SOC

Description

We are seeking a professional with experience in SOC operations, knowledgeable in SIEM (preferably IBM QRadar), networking, Windows/Linux, and security solutions such as EDR and XDR. In addition to technical expertise, we seek a consultative professional with strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with clients—serving as the technical point of contact, leading meetings, supporting incident analysis, and contributing to continuous improvement of security services. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Serve as the technical point of contact for SOC clients; * Lead technical follow-up and alignment meetings; * Assist clients in interpreting alerts, incidents, and recommendations issued by the SOC; * Monitor KPIs, action plans, and service improvement opportunities; * Support evolution of monitoring rules and security integrations; * Act as the interface between clients and SOC, Engineering, and Projects teams; * Support onboarding and implementation of new solutions when required; * Prepare technical documentation and record executed activities; * Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and service quality. **Requirements and Qualifications** * **Practical experience in SOC (Security Operations Center) operations, including monitoring, analysis, and handling of security events and incidents;** * Knowledge of SIEM, preferably IBM QRadar; * Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Firewalls, VPN); * Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux; * Familiarity with security solutions such as EDR, antivirus, firewalls, or XDR; * Strong verbal and written communication skills; * Consultative, organized profile with ease in client relationship management; * Interest in learning and professional growth. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in managed security services (MSS/MDR); * Knowledge of MITRE ATT\&CK and incident response frameworks; * Experience with Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Sophos, Trend Micro, Bitdefender, or similar solutions; * Familiarity with PowerShell, Python, or Bash; * Information Security certifications will be considered a plus. **Additional Information** 100% Remote Contract model: PJ (Individual Entrepreneur) Immediate start **Benefits and Incentives** * Structured career path (semi-annual and/or annual reviews) * Incentives for technical courses and certifications * Fully online medical assistance (telemedicine, specialists, nutrition, and psychology) * Life insurance * Accounting support for MEI (Microentrepreneur) * Birthday day off * Paid leave after one year **It4us Cyber Security** is a corporate-market company with a proven track record in executing cybersecurity and infrastructure projects.
