Job Summary: A professional who joins metal alloy parts using welding (TIG or shielded metal arc welding), operates welding machines, performs cutting and gouging, and prepares equipment. Preparation of welding equipment and consumables JOIN METAL ALLOY PARTS USING WELDING (TIG OR SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING), OPERATE WELDING MACHINES MANUALLY, WELD METALS AND ALLOYS, PERFORM CUTTING AND GOUGING USING GRAPHITE ELECTRODE, TACK WELD PARTS TO BE JOINED, PREPARE WELDING EQUIPMENT, ACCESSORIES, CONSUMABLES, AND PARTS TO BE WELDED OR CUT, SELECT AND USE TORCHES, FILLER RODS, AND GASES (ARGON), GENERATORS, TRANSFORMERS OR RECTIFIERS, UNDERSTAND MATERIAL PROPERTIES TO SELECT APPROPRIATE WELDING METHOD, OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT.
