Job Objective: To weld highly complex components using technical drawings, welding procedures, and EPS technical data sheets (Welding Procedure Specifications) for Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), MIG/MAG, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
Job Description:* Read and interpret engineering drawings, possessing necessary knowledge and basic understanding of welding symbols and design concepts.
* Weld highly complex components using technical drawings, welding procedures, and EPS technical data sheets (Welding Procedure Specifications) for Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), MIG/MAG, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) (in some procedures, solid wire is used);
* Perform self-inspection to ensure dimensional and visual quality of components per project specifications;
* Knowledge of Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT) application on weld joints prior to ultrasonic testing.
* Apply preheating to components using heating and cutting torches.
* Complete all forms relevant to performed activities (checklists).
* Safeguard the company’s technical assets (machinery, tools, and drawings), maintaining confidentiality of information from external parties and competitors.
* Basic computer skills for Weir Time 4\.0 training and time recording.
* Comply with Duty of Care requirements (a document outlining individual and collective commitment to Health and Safety).
* Safety first: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our Zero-Harm behaviors in support of our effort to build a world-class safety culture.
Requirements:* Completed high school education;
* Proven experience as a welder in Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), MIG/MAG, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW);
* Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings.
