**Job Description:** A professional responsible for modeling complex business problems and uncovering business insights through the use of statistical, algorithmic, data mining, and data visualization techniques. The Data Scientist must contribute to building and developing the organization's data infrastructure and support leadership with insights, management reports, and analysis for decision-making processes. **Responsibilities** Define and develop Business Cases and technical requirements (for project idea validation); Plan the project and create a Total Business Value Assessment; Conduct Design Sprints / Lean Inceptions; Propose solution architecture or database architecture; Implement or support the implementation of a solution or database architecture; Perform additional infrastructure and technology testing (beyond basic implementation tests); Perform analysis, proposal, and support or execution of improvements for data performance and quality; Perform project phase/Sprint preparation activities: objective definition; problem understanding; environment validation for kickoff; and data knowledge acquisition; Perform data preparation activities: data engineering; acquisition; ingestion; cleaning; transformation; processing; enrichment; persistence; Perform data analysis and exploration activities: exploratory data analysis; diagnostics; descriptive analysis; explanatory analysis; inference; variable identification; missing value handling; outlier treatment; variable transformation; variable creation; Perform model development activities: algorithm selection; dataset splitting (training, testing, validation); model development and training (descriptive, inferential, analytical, predictive, prescriptive); Perform additional Artificial Intelligence activities (Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, image processing, Internet of Things, among others); Produce reports containing analyses, insights, and conclusions based on developed models; Develop dashboards, reports, visualization objects, and interfaces using Business Intelligence tools; Develop dashboards, reports, visualization objects, and interfaces using programming languages; Design cloud-based solution architectures and estimate associated costs; Implement cloud-based solution architectures; Propose and implement performance optimization and cost reduction for cloud-based solution architectures; Monitor costs and functionalities, generate alerts, propose solutions, and take emergency actions for cloud-based solutions; Perform corrective maintenance (out-of-warranty); Automate and optimize data ingestion, processing, training, and the implemented solution’s model; Manage unstructured data (e.g., documents, records and content, files, audio, video, and streaming data); Produce lessons-learned reports; Deliver business training on the implemented solution; Deliver technical training on the implemented solution; Organize, review, guide, and approve vocabulary and ontology models using OWL tools (Protégé, Sesame, Jena); Review, guide, and approve NoSQL database models. Analyze and configure NoSQL databases (Elastic/MongoDB/JSONB structures in PostgreSQL) and graph databases (GraphDB/Neo4j); Analyze and support the development team in building and enhancing DML in SPARQL; Administer DCL in NoSQL databases and graph databases. **Academic Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any undergraduate degree in Exact Sciences, plus postgraduate education (MBA, specialization, master’s, or doctoral degree) in Information Technology, with a minimum of 360 hours, accredited by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC). **Professional Experience** * Five years of experience with analytical tools (OLAP) and data integration tools (ETL); * Demonstrated academic knowledge of: * Dimensional, transactional, and non-relational (BigData – NoSQL) databases; * Data modeling and data processing using SQL; * Exploratory data analysis; * Inferential data analysis; * Data mining; * Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning and Deep Learning); * Proficiency in Python and/or R. **Expected Skills** * Results-oriented mindset, proactivity, resilience, discretion, as well as leadership, communication, management, autonomy, articulation, and integration capabilities. ### **Employment Type:** CLT ### **Department:** Government
