We specialize in digital solutions (web, mobile, BI, RPA, etc.), with offices in São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, and the USA. **Overview of the opportunity:** * We are looking for a **Senior Database Administrator (DBA)** with strong **PostgreSQL** expertise to work on a strategic project focused on the **structural evolution of our client's production database**. * We seek a highly technical, analytical, and performance-oriented profile, with hands-on experience in data architectural review, query optimization, and implementation of best practices in data modeling and scalability. * The role will focus on diagnosing, restructuring, and improving the performance of the current environment, ensuring greater efficiency, stability, and sustainability of the database. * The project has an initial duration of **3 months**, with potential extension. **Responsibilities and duties:** * Analyze and review the structure of the production database; * Identify performance bottlenecks and propose technical improvements; * Review and optimize existing indexes, queries, and structures; * Implement data partitioning strategies; * Support the definition of data architecture best practices; * Perform database tuning and performance optimization; * Ensure integrity, scalability, and stability of the PostgreSQL environment; * Collaborate closely with development and architecture teams; * Document structural improvements and technical recommendations. **Required skills:** * Solid experience as a **Senior DBA or Database Engineer**; * Advanced proficiency in **PostgreSQL**; * Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting in production environments; * Strong knowledge of: + Indexing + Partitioning + Data modeling + Query optimization * Experience analyzing critical and high-volume data environments; * Familiarity with data architecture and governance best practices; * Experience working closely with engineering and development teams. **Preferred qualifications:** * Experience in legacy database restructuring or modernization; * Experience in critical, high-availability environments with large data volumes; * Knowledge of database monitoring and observability; * Experience in cost-optimization and scalability projects. **What you’ll find at GX2:** * Original content hub segmented by learning paths (AI, QA, Agility, UX/UI Design, Product, Software Development); * Monthly talks focused on soft skills development; * Culture of care for people and mental health; * Mental health and well-being platform; * GX2 Follow Up: Individual monthly check-ins focused on well-being and professional development. **A message from GX2:** This position is open to all interested individuals.
