Senior Backend Developer - Node.js (PIX)

Description

We are looking for a **Senior Backend Developer – Node.js (PIX)** to work on highly complex and critical projects within a robust, dynamic, and technically excellence-oriented financial environment. You will join a highly skilled team responsible for **developing, evolving, and maintaining critical payment systems**, with a strong focus on **performance, security, scalability, and delivery quality**. This professional will serve as a **technical reference**, actively contributing to architectural decisions, defining best practices, and mentoring the team. Our work environment is collaborative, agile, and results-driven, with constant interaction among Backend, Frontend, QA, UI/UX, Systems Analysts, and Business Product Owners. We value autonomy, technical accountability, and continuous improvement. **Responsibilities and assignments** **Key activities:** * Engage in **backend system development and deployment** using **Node.js**, following best practices and architectural standards. * Develop robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs, with emphasis on **PIX and financial systems**. * Work with **microservice architecture**, containers (**Docker**), and **automated CI/CD pipelines**. * Conduct technical analyses of business and evolutionary requirements together with systems analysts and business teams. * Ensure **technical quality**, performance, and security of systems in production and staging environments. * Create and maintain **technical and architectural documentation** for systems. * Provide **technical mentorship to the team**, supporting best practices in development, testing, and architecture. * Contribute to the continuous evolution of architecture and technical standards adopted in CCS (MDS). **Requirements and qualifications** **Education:** * Completed undergraduate degree in technology-related fields **Expected competencies:** * **Node.js** with Express (ES6 or later). * **Software architecture**, RESTful principles, and design patterns. * **MongoDB** (including complex queries using aggregate) and relational databases (SQL). * **Messaging systems** (Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ or similar). * **Unit and integration testing**, code quality, and tools such as Sonar. * **Version control with Git and GitFlow**. * **CI/CD** (Jenkins, Sonar, automated pipelines). * **Object-oriented, functional, and reactive programming**. * **Clean Code and Refactoring**. * Experience with **PIX**, the financial sector, or payment systems. **Preferred qualifications for this role:** * Experience in financial, banking, or high-volume transactional systems * Knowledge of **information security and LGPD**. **Additional information** **LEARN ABOUT OUR BENEFITS** **Some of our benefits are flexible, allowing you to allocate them according to your needs, interests, and life stage.
