English Teacher for Lower Secondary Education (Ensino Fundamental II) and/or Upper Secondary Education (Ensino Médio), with emphasis on interactive methodologies and development of linguistic skills and critical thinking.

We are seeking a professional responsible for planning and delivering English lessons for Lower Secondary Education (Ensino Fundamental II) and/or Upper Secondary Education (Ensino Médio), promoting the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English. The role involves interactive and contextual teaching methodologies aligned with the Brazilian National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC), fostering student autonomy, critical thinking, and intercultural communication.
**Responsibilities:**
* Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum matrix and BNCC guidelines.
* Encourage the use of English in real-life contexts, emphasizing oral fluency and listening comprehension.
* Apply active methodologies and technological resources such as music, videos, games, apps, and digital platforms.
* Use authentic and diverse materials to develop linguistic competencies.
* Assess students through diagnostic, formative, and summative evaluations using varied instruments.
* Participate in pedagogical meetings, class councils, continuous professional development sessions, and interdisciplinary projects.
* Organize thematic events, conversation clubs, presentations, and cultural activities in English.
* Use school-provided resources responsibly (e.g., Google Classroom, interactive whiteboard, maker space, etc.).
* Promote respect for linguistic and cultural diversity, fostering empathy and global thinking.
* Contribute to students’ ethical, civic, and critical development by encouraging conscious language use.
* Maintain up-to-date files and documentation for organizational and LGPD compliance purposes.
* Perform other duties relevant to the role as directed by the immediate supervisor.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature (Licenciatura em Letras with English specialization).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Postgraduate degree in English Language Teaching, Active Methodologies, or Bilingual Education.
