Development of linguistic skills and critical thinking We are seeking a professional responsible for planning and delivering English lessons for Lower Secondary Education and/or Upper Secondary Education, fostering the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in the language. The role employs interactive and contextual methodologies aligned with the Brazilian National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC), encouraging student autonomy, critical thinking, and intercultural communication. **Responsibilities:** * Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum framework and BNCC guidelines. * Encourage the use of English in real-life contexts, emphasizing oral fluency and listening comprehension. * Apply active learning methodologies and technological resources such as music, videos, games, apps, and digital platforms. * Use authentic and diverse materials to develop linguistic competencies. * Assess students through diagnostic, formative, and summative methods using varied assessment tools. * Participate in pedagogical meetings, class councils, ongoing professional development, and interdisciplinary projects. * Organize thematic events, conversation clubs, presentations, and cultural activities in English. * Use school-provided resources responsibly (e.g., Google Classroom, interactive whiteboard, maker space, etc.). * Promote respect for linguistic and cultural diversity, fostering empathy and global thinking. * Contribute to students’ ethical, civic, and critical development by encouraging conscious language use. * Maintain up-to-date files and documentation for organizational and LGPD compliance purposes. * Perform other duties relevant to the area, as directed by the immediate supervisor. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Languages (English specialization). **Preferred Qualifications:** * Postgraduate degree in English Language Teaching, Active Methodologies, or Bilingual Education.
