Job Summary: Lead the definition and evolution of the architecture for a new digital platform, collaborating with various departments to ensure scalability, security, and high performance. Research and prototyping of new technologies Description: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. * Significant experience in architecture and development of complex and scalable digital platforms. * Deep understanding of various architectural styles (microservices, serverless, message-driven architecture, etc.) and their trade-offs, with hands-on experience applying them. * Proven experience in designing and implementing robust and secure APIs (RESTful, GraphQL). * Solid knowledge of distributed systems design and horizontal and vertical scalability strategies. * Experience with relational and non-relational databases, and data persistence strategies for high-demand platforms. * Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core services for building digital platforms (compute, storage, networking, serverless, etc.). * Advanced knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools for automating deployment and platform management. * Experience with messaging and queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS). * In-depth knowledge of application and infrastructure security (authentication, authorization, encryption, OWASP). * Experience with platform monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog). * Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Event-Driven Architecture). * Lead the definition and evolution of the architecture for Porto Serviços’ new digital platform—from presentation layer through backend and integrations. * Collaborate closely with business, product, design, and engineering teams to understand the platform vision and translate it into a cohesive and efficient software architecture. * Define architectural standards, design guidelines, technologies, and frameworks to be used in building the platform. * Ensure the platform architecture is scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performing—capable of supporting Porto Serviços’ growth. * Design the platform’s integration architecture with internal and external systems, including APIs for partners and consumers. * Develop and maintain comprehensive platform architecture documentation, including diagrams, data models, and integration specifications. * Actively participate in technology vendor selection and evaluation of software solutions for the platform. * Technically lead architecture discussions with development teams, ensuring adherence to defined standards. * Identify and mitigate technical risks and architectural challenges associated with platform development. * Promote adoption of best practices in development and architecture during platform construction. * Mentor and guide software engineers involved in platform development on architecture and design matters. * Evaluate and recommend continuous improvements to the platform architecture to optimize cost, performance, and scalability. * Research and prototype new technologies and architectural approaches that can add value to the digital platform. * Collaborate with the information security team to ensure the platform is built to the highest security standards. 2512250202491833698
