Your mission is to build and evolve the RUN infrastructure and platform on Microsoft Azure, driving innovation, scalability, and excellence in service delivery to our customers. This role requires interaction with international teams; **advanced English proficiency is mandatory for daily communication.** **Responsibilities and Duties** **In your day-to-day work, you will engage in the following activities:** * Ensure operational stability, availability, performance, and security of Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting critical business applications. * Administer and optimize SQL Server (2017 and 2022\) environments on on\-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and industry best practices. * Monitor, diagnose, and resolve database-related performance issues, incidents, and failures—including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. * Lead initiatives related to high availability, backup, recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and system resilience. * Partner with development teams to optimize data modeling, SQL queries, stored procedures, and deployment processes. * Drive automation and modernization initiatives for databases—including Database\-as\-Code, integration with CI/CD pipelines, and adoption of cloud-based solutions. * Define and maintain database administration standards, operational procedures, security controls, and governance practices. * Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and engineering teams on capacity planning, platform lifecycle management, compliance, and technological transformation initiatives. * Produce technical documentation and disseminate knowledge within the DBA team. * Participate in on\-call rotations and provide support for critical production incidents, maintenance activities, and deployments. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Check below what you’ll need to succeed in this opportunity!** **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:** * Solid understanding of relational database concepts, enterprise architecture, and database administration best practices. * Advanced expertise in administering Microsoft SQL Server 2017 and 2022\. * Experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and clustering technologies. * Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). * Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). * Experience with Service Broker. * Familiarity with SQL Profiler and performance analysis tools. * Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. * Knowledge of SQL query optimization, execution plans, and performance troubleshooting. * Experience analyzing and resolving deadlocks. * Advanced proficiency in T\-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and linked servers. * Experience administering SQL Server workloads on Microsoft Azure—including Azure Virtual Machines and Azure SQL. * Knowledge of database security, role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, auditing, and vulnerability management. * Understanding of Database\-as\-Code concepts and version-controlled database deployment methodologies. * Basic knowledge of Infrastructure\-as\-Code using tools such as Terraform and Packer. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices applied to the database lifecycle. * Experience with database monitoring, performance diagnostics, and root cause analysis. * Knowledge of automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python. * Experience with structured change management and release processes. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Analytical, organized, and problem-solving oriented mindset. * Proactive, disciplined professional with strong attention to detail. * Fluent English for daily communication. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** * Experience implementing Database\-as\-Code solutions using Liquibase or similar tools. * Hands-on experience deploying databases via CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent). * Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Jenkins and Ansible. * Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Splunk and Dynatrace. * Experience in hybrid environments combining on\-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure. * Familiarity with Azure database services. * Knowledge of Infrastructure\-as\-Code implementation patterns using Terraform and Packer. * Experience integrating database administration activities into DevOps and Platform Engineering practices. * Experience with vulnerability remediation programs, hardening, and database security initiatives. **Additional Information** **Deliver IT will leave its mark on this project—and we invite you to be part of this journey!** We foster a light-hearted, relaxed, collaborative, and diverse culture, enriched by an environment full of talented colleagues across various domains and many challenges.
