**Junior Java Developer** We are looking for a **Junior Java Developer** to drive people and businesses forward through innovation, with attitude, leadership, and a focus on making things happen. **Your impact in this role:** * Develop and implement software solutions using the Java programming language. * Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and propose effective solutions. * Perform testing and validation of features to ensure software quality. * Participate in project planning and review meetings, contributing technical insights. * Document processes and developed solutions, ensuring clarity and continuity of work. ✅ **Essential Requirements:** * Prior experience in **backend** development on real-world projects. * Practical knowledge of **Java** and **Spring Boot** for building APIs and backend services. * Experience with **relational databases**, including basic modeling and writing SQL queries. * Initial knowledge or hands-on experience with **messaging systems (e.g., Kafka)**, understanding concepts such as producer, consumer, and topics. * Experience using **Maven and/or Gradle** for dependency management and builds. * Hands-on experience with **JPA / Hibernate** for data persistence. * Basic knowledge of **containers and orchestration**, with familiarity in environments using **Kubernetes**. * **Nice-to-have:** * Experience with **automated testing**, especially **unit tests** and **integration tests**. * Basic knowledge of **observability and monitoring** (e.g., Prometheus, metrics, logs). * Introductory knowledge of **application security**, such as authentication, authorization, and best practices. * Habit of **documenting technical decisions** or workflows (simple diagrams or written documentation). * Experience with **load or performance testing** is a plus. **Benefits:** Remote work allowance Flash Card Access to South Academy courses and certifications Financial education program **About South:** You will join a collaborative team that values autonomy and continuous improvement, working on projects with real business impact—where turning ideas into deliverables is part of everyday work.
