Join us and shape your world. **About the Role:** Alcoa has an open opportunity for an **Industrial Operator** at its Alumar facility in São Luís (MA), in the Reduction area. The individual will be responsible for preparing, adjusting, and operating machine tools used in machining metal parts and composites, as well as monitoring process parameters and ensuring product quality—always strictly adhering to safety procedures. Responsibilities also include planning operation sequences, performing technical calculations, and potentially implementing actions aimed at environmental preservation. Depending on operational organization within the area, duties may focus either on equipment preparation or equipment operation. **Key responsibilities include:** * Organizing and cleaning the work area; * Opening and closing pots; * Raking replaced anodes; * Re\-tightening anode clamps (monitoring anode adjustment); * Verifying anode contact; * Adding bagged materials; * Removing burnoff and performing extra replacements; * Skimming carbon powder; * Drilling pot "openings"; * Operating utility bridge, siphon cleaning machine, WL machine, and crucible cleaning machine. **What You Can Bring to This Role:** * Education: Completed High School; * Preferred: Participation in any Alumar Operator Training Program, e.g., Young Apprentice**;** * Preferred: Knowledge of ABS, TPM, and EHS fundamentals; * Availability to work rotating shifts. **What We Offer:** * Our Essence and Culture: We are driven by strong values—we act with integrity, operate with excellence, care for people, and lead with courage; * Safety First: Safety is not just a priority—it is part of our DNA.
