Job Summary: At OneBox, we seek a Mid-Level Back-End Developer to build, evolve, and maintain solutions supporting high-volume, secure AI-driven document validation operations, contributing to the team's technical growth. Work with AI, OCR, and NLP in document validation At OneBox, we use AI, OCR, and NLP to validate documents, identities, and benefits at scale, with high processing volume and stringent security and performance requirements. We are looking for a Mid-Level Back-End Developer to build, evolve, and maintain the solutions that support these operations—developing features, integrations, and high-quality APIs while contributing to the team’s technical advancement. **Job Mission** ------------------- Develop and evolve OneBox’s back-end applications, transforming business requirements into efficient, secure, and sustainable technical solutions. The candidate will be responsible for developing medium-complexity features, implementing business rules, building integrations, and contributing to system quality and stability. **Job Responsibilities** ------------------------------ * Develop and maintain REST APIs, endpoints, and integrations. * Implement business rules according to defined requirements. * Create, maintain, and optimize SQL queries. * Develop features following architectural standards and best practices defined by the team. * Fix defects and support investigation and resolution of issues. * Analyze logs and investigate failures in development and production environments. * Write and maintain automated tests, contributing to application quality and reliability. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving delivery quality. * Document endpoints, integrations, and relevant application changes. * Collaborate with other developers and partner teams to ensure solution delivery. * Identify technical risks and request support when necessary for high-impact decisions. * Contribute to the continuous evolution of systems, processes, and development best practices. **Performance Indicators** ----------------------------- * Quality and stability of developed features. * Adherence to deadlines and delivery predictability. * Quality and coverage of automated tests. * Reduction of bugs and recurring issues. * Quality and efficiency of developed APIs and queries. * Compliance with architectural standards and development best practices. * Quality of code reviews and solution documentation. * Ability to autonomously handle medium-complexity tasks. **Requirements** -------------- * Professional back-end development experience, preferably between 2 and 4 years. * Practical experience with Node.js and JavaScript. * Knowledge of TypeScript or willingness to adopt it. * Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs. * Understanding of asynchronous programming and error handling. * Experience with relational databases, especially Oracle and/or PostgreSQL. * Ability to develop SQL queries with joins, aggregations, and subqueries. * Basic data modeling knowledge. * Experience with Git and branch-based workflows including merge requests. * Knowledge of authentication and authorization using JWT. * Experience testing APIs using tools such as Insomnia or Postman. * Basic knowledge of unit and integration testing. * Basic knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose. * Ability to analyze logs and investigate failures. * Knowledge of API security practices and sensitive data handling. * Ability to develop features following pre-defined architectural and technical standards. * Autonomy to execute medium-complexity tasks. * Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. **Required Qualifications** ----------------------------- * Ability to translate business requirements into appropriate technical solutions. * Analytical mindset and ability to investigate and resolve problems. * Organization and autonomy to manage one’s own activities and deliveries. * Ability to work following development standards and best practices. * Strong communication skills to interact with developers and other project stakeholders. * Commitment to quality, security, maintenance, and continuous application evolution. * Willingness to learn new technologies and grow technically alongside the team. **Desired Qualifications** ---------------------------- * Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL. * Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI. * Experience with Docker in development environments. * Knowledge of Redis, message queues, or scheduled tasks. * Experience with transactional systems. * Knowledge of Linux. * Experience with Node-RED or Airflow. * Basic application security knowledge.
