Description
**Job Mission**
-------------------
Work autonomously within the Acelera team, leading end-to-end AI features in AI products, integrating LLMs into real-world solutions, proposing technical improvements, and contributing to quality and architecture. This role is for professionals with solid industry experience who aim to specialize in applied AI.
**Key Responsibilities**
--------------------------------
* **End-to-end development:** Independently drive entire features with minimal supervision—from requirements understanding through deployment; integrate AI APIs into real products; develop services, integrations, and automations; refactor and evolve existing code.
* **AI Engineering:** Design LLM-powered workflows (not merely calling APIs—consider context, chaining, validation); optimize prompts balancing cost, latency, and quality; evaluate which model to use per scenario; independently lead proof-of-concepts (POCs).
* **Quality and Architecture:** Write clean, testable, and well-documented code; conduct code reviews on team pull requests (including those from junior developers); propose technical improvements and architectural adjustments; help define best practices.
* **Collaboration and Ownership:** Align directly with Product, Deployment, and Customer Success teams; provide technical support to junior developers when needed; take ownership of deliverables; proactively manage deadlines and provide timely feedback.
**Desired Technical Profile (Hard Skills)**
-----------------------------------------
* Proven professional experience of 1.5–3 years as a developer (CLT, PJ, or freelancer with serious projects).
* Has shipped production code (not just academic or learning projects).
* Proficiency in Python OR JavaScript/TypeScript (with Node.js).
* Comfortable building and consuming REST APIs.
* Real-world experience with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic)—preferably in a professional setting, even if in a small project.
* Confident SQL usage and basic database modeling knowledge.
* Professional Git workflow: branches, Pull Requests, code review.
* Ability to independently drive a feature from inception to delivery with minimal supervision.
**Nice-to-Haves**
----------------
* RAG, embeddings, and vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone, Qdrant).
* AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vercel AI SDK).
* Modern web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Next.js, NestJS, Express).
* Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)—even at a foundational level.
* Experience with AI observability (e.g., prompt logging, cost tracking, latency monitoring).
* Technical English for documentation.
**Behavioral Competencies**
--------------------------------
* Technical autonomy and strong ownership mindset.
* Critical thinking—questions assumptions, proposes solutions, doesn’t just execute.
* Strong communication skills across technical and business teams.
* Maturity to handle pressure, deadlines, and shifting priorities.
* Collaborative mindset—supports the team and delivers high-quality code reviews.
* Ability to both receive and give constructive technical feedback.
**Ideal Candidate Summary**
-------------------------
This position targets candidates with 1.5–3 years of professional experience, who have already shipped production code and worked with AI in a workplace setting—even if only in a small project. It is not an entry-level role; rather, it’s designed for professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in applied AI with autonomy—leading full features, reviewing peers’ code, and driving the Acelera team’s technical evolution.
