Job Summary: Verity is seeking a Data Architect to define and evolve data architecture and integrations, with emphasis on cloud cost efficiency and migration to GCP. Key Highlights: 1. Here are the experiences and knowledge you’ll need to accelerate and transform with us: **Responsibilities and Duties** * Define and evolve data architecture and integrations, focusing on cloud cost efficiency (FinOps). * Conduct technical analysis of the current environment (Azure), identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities. * Lead the migration strategy for ETL pipelines from Azure Data Factory to GCP, ensuring performance, scalability, and cost reduction. * Directly contribute to building and evolving data pipelines, supporting the team in technical decisions and implementations. * Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of performance, cost, and availability issues, proposing structural solutions. * Define standards for data ingestion, processing, and consumption, balancing cost, performance, and complexity. * Define the target data architecture oriented toward cost reduction and cloud resource optimization. * Ensure appropriate selection of technologies and approaches (batch vs. streaming, relational vs. non-relational, caching, etc.). * Lead and technically support the migration of ETLs to GCP (e.g., Dataflow, Composer, BigQuery, etc.). * Act hands-on in reviewing and optimizing pipelines, queries, and jobs. * Work closely with the engineering team to ensure consistent and sustainable technical execution. * Define and monitor efficiency metrics (cost per pipeline, resource consumption, performance). * Document architectural decisions and create reusable knowledge bases. * Support technical prioritization alongside Delivery and Product teams, considering financial and operational impact. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Solid experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer with strong architectural involvement. * Practical experience with cloud environments (Azure and/or GCP). * Knowledge of orchestration and ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, Airflow, etc.). * Experience with data modeling and relational/non-relational databases. * Experience with data pipelines (batch and/or streaming). * Strong problem analysis capability (RCA) and identification of technical bottlenecks. * Experience optimizing queries, pipelines, and cloud resource usage. * Hands-on profile capable of contributing both to architectural definition and technical execution. * Practical experience with Python and PySpark for building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines. **Additional Information** **Here, we are human, we are digital, we are Verity!** **Everything we do is grounded in our Fascinating Values:** * Technology: Our passion for technology drives us to modernize and accelerate businesses; * Transparency and Commitment: We are guided by transparency and commitment to delivery; * Human Connection: We are humans who listen empathetically and collaborate across differences; * Experience: We build our reputation by challenging ourselves daily to deliver the best experiences for our clients and colleagues; This is how we create innovative experiences for the digital world—inspiring leadership and generating outstanding results for our clients, always focused on methodology, technology, and people.
