Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a Project Consultant to lead engineering studies and packages (conceptual, basic, and detailed) for modifications/expansions at operating mining plants (brownfield). Key Highlights: 1. Lead engineering studies and packages for brownfield projects. 2. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage interfaces with operations. 3. Ensure safety, integration, and operability in mining projects. **We are ERO**, a mining company born in the heart of Brazil and grown by delivering greater strength and energy to the world — strength that drives productive sectors and contributes to the development of diverse regions. Since 1979, when it began operations at the ***Caraíba*** unit, the company has consolidated its presence in Brazil’s mineral sector, expanding to the gold mine at ***Xavantina***, advancing implementation of the ***Tucumã*** unit — set to become one of the country’s leading copper production hubs. Our growth is driven by exploration expertise, enabling us to extend the life of our mines and advance new projects such as the ***Furnas Project*** in Pará. Our approach to mining is guided by strong values: care, courage, honesty, collaboration, and excellence. These principles lie at the core of everything we do — from the mine floor to strategic decisions. They also guide how we support the growth of every individual at **ERO**. Work spans from **concept development, feasibility studies, engineering, procurement, and construction through commissioning and operational handover of assets**. Scope includes modification and expansion projects at operating mineral processing plants (*brownfield*), open-pit and underground mines, and support facilities (*facilities*), delivering safe, integrated, constructible, and operable solutions with minimal production interference and strict adherence to **interface** ***management***, SSMA, schedule, and CAPEX/OPEX. * Collaborate with Planning to align **sequencing**, engineering milestones, and shutdown readiness. * Integrate SSMA from inception: HAZID/What\-if/APR, execution risks under operating conditions, hazardous energy (electrical/mechanical/hydraulic), spill containment, and equipment integrity. * Prepare **technical specifications**, requisitions, technical evaluations, and recommendations. * Coordinate interface with OEMs and system integrators to align data, loads, utilities, instrumentation, and automation with existing systems. * Ensure the project incorporates a **commissioning plan**, test requirements, checklists, “punch list”, and delivery documentation. * Support transition to operations (training, manuals, critical spares, “as-built” updates). * Prepare management reports and presentations for stakeholders and senior leadership. * Promote continuous improvement in project management processes. * Ensure delivery quality and satisfaction of internal and external customers. * Be responsible for document management across project phases.
