The oil changer is responsible for replacing engine lubricating oil and filters in vehicles, as well as other tasks related to maintaining and preserving the lubrication system. Duties include oil replacement, replacement of oil and air filters, fluid level checks, component lubrication, and workplace organization and cleaning. * **Oil change:** Perform lubricating oil changes for the engine, transmission, differential, and other components according to vehicle specifications. * **Filter replacement:** Replace oil, air, and fuel filters as needed. * **Fluid level inspection:** Check fluid levels—including brake fluid, coolant, and power steering fluid—and top up as necessary. * **Lubrication:** Apply grease and other lubricants to specific vehicle points as specified by the manufacturer. * **Preventive maintenance:** Conduct visual inspections and tests to identify maintenance needs and ensure proper vehicle operation. * **Cleaning and organization:** Maintain a clean and organized workplace, taking care of tools and equipment. * **Customer service:** Assist customers in selecting appropriate oil and filters, and clarify questions regarding vehicle maintenance. * **Product sales:** In some cases, the oil changer may also be responsible for demonstrating and selling automotive maintenance-related products, such as additives and other fluids.
