Job Summary: An IT professional responsible for development, improvement, and support of a BackOffice platform using Java and AWS, interacting with users and incorporating new financial products. Key Highlights: 1. Development and operational improvements on a banking platform. 2. Direct interaction with BackOffice users to understand requirements. 3. Work with modern technologies such as Java, AWS, and C#. **About the Team:** The team is responsible for the platform used by the BackOffice team for trade reconciliation, custody and cash management, as well as trade allocation/execution/confirmation, valuation, and settlement. We focus on developing operational improvements and integrating new financial products into the platform, which is built in Java and hosted on AWS cloud. We are also responsible for solutions developed in C\#, which form part of the platform’s ecosystem. Our group interacts directly with BackOffice users to understand their evolving needs and how to contribute to the bank’s core business. **Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:** * Interact directly with BackOffice users to understand their requirements and how to contribute to the bank’s core business. * Provide production support, including bug fixes, enhancements, and troubleshooting application issues. * Develop new technology projects for users in the onboarding and regulatory areas. **What We Expect From You:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. * Advanced knowledge of Java. * Knowledge of AWS. * Database knowledge (Oracle) is desirable. * Knowledge of JBoss and Message Queue is desirable. * Familiarity with Calypso APIs is desirable. * Financial market knowledge is desirable.
