Technical mentoring of the team and elevation of the team's technical level About the Area The IT Credit Engine team operates within the Products and Platform pillar and is responsible for developing and maintaining the solutions that constitute the credit analysis and limit management workflow of BTG Pactual Bank. These solutions are central to credit decision-making across multiple bank products, operating in high-volume scenarios with extreme requirements for availability, low latency, and consistency. The team covers the full spectrum—from data ingestion and orchestration, through decision engines and business rules, to service exposure for multiple internal channels and platforms—ensuring scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency. **Your day-to-day responsibilities:** * Act as a technical reference, supporting the development team and strategic projects of the credit platform. * Evaluate, design, and evolve distributed architectures focused on high performance, low latency, high availability, and cost efficiency. * Work with microservice-oriented architecture, synchronous and asynchronous processing, messaging, and integration across multiple critical systems. * Propose technical solutions, architectural standards, and software engineering best practices applied to the credit context. * Perform in-depth performance analysis, troubleshooting, application tuning, and log analysis to ensure stability in high-load environments. * Develop and enhance Credit Engine solutions, including decision flows, limit management, and integrations with internal products and systems. * Ensure platform observability through metrics, logs, and distributed tracing, enabling rapid incident response and continuous improvement. * Work in a DevOps model, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automation, reliability, and reduced lead time. * Serve as a technical mentor for the team, supporting engineers’ technical development, promoting knowledge sharing, and elevating the team’s technical level. **What we expect from you:** * Completed undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis, or related fields; * Solid backend development expertise using .NET, Node.js, and/or Python, applied to mission-critical, large-scale systems; * Experience with Web Services (REST and/or SOAP) and integration between distributed systems; * Hands-on experience with messaging and asynchronous processing (e.g., RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS, or equivalent technologies); * Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, with emphasis on production-grade, highly available environments; * Experience with cloud architecture (AWS); * Strong expertise in microservice architecture, distributed systems, and design patterns; * Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or similar); * Solid understanding of CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools); * Strong interest and experience in architecture design, performance, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency; * Ability to evaluate technical solutions, define architectural standards, and guide strategic technical decisions; * Technical leadership profile, acting as a team mentor, raising technical standards, and promoting engineering best practices; * Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, ownership mindset, resilience, and eagerness to grow, innovate, and tackle complex technical challenges; * Availability for on-site/hybrid work in the Faria Lima region – SP.
