Job Summary: A Materials Assistant at SEL will support routines that ensure safe and ergonomic material availability for internal and external customers. Key Highlights: 1. For this reason, we transport, store, and manage domestic and imported materials and components required for our customers' projects and systems. As a Materials Assistant, you will support a series of routines aimed at ensuring, in a safe and ergonomic manner, the availability of the correct materials to internal and external customers at the appropriate times, following proper procedures. As a Materials Assistant, a typical day may include: ***Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** 1\. Perform routines involving material receipt, physical and systemic/electronic verification, and ERP inventory balance updates via invoice entry, meeting activity requirements. 2\. Request material pickup by scheduling with transportation companies. 3\. Assist in monthly inventory processes through physical verification and barcode-based control. 4\. Assist in material movements—both physical and electronic—using the ERP inventory module. 5\. Assist in updating performance indicators related to the activity. 6\. Apply and teach SEL Values, SEL Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 7\. Continuously Understand, Create, and Simplify processes. 8\. Perform other tasks related to the above as required by business needs or at the discretion of the immediate supervisor. ***Required Qualifications*** High school diploma or equivalent Relevant experience is considered a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in documentation control Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment ***Preferred Qualifications*** Windows operating system Office Suite/Excel Basic English Familiarity with material verification and inventory control Basic tax knowledge Basic inventory knowledge Familiarity with Protheus ERP (Inventory Module) ***Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** 1\. Other duties as assigned. ***Required Qualifications*** Ability to listen, comprehend, and follow instructions Basic math, documentation, reading, writing and communication skills. Manual dexterity and ability to concentrate. Ability to frequently lift 40 pounds Adhere to SEL's tobacco\-free policy Compliance with heightened periodic drug testing for operators of SEL vehicles Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment ***Preferred Qualifications*** Previous Materials/Receiving Experience Experience in forklift truck operation ***Physical Requirements*** Ability to frequently lift 40 pounds
