Junior Metrology Technician (426301)

Description

To work in the Metrology Group (MET) of the Deputy Directorate of Technology (DAT). We are seeking a candidate with technical education and interest in performing applied metrology activities involving large-volume measurements, supporting high-complexity scientific and technological projects. The role includes precision measurements and alignments, support for mechanical system integration, and supervision and guidance from more experienced professionals. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform inspections and measurements of parts, components, or large-scale products; * Conduct monitoring and alignment activities for large components, equipment, and precision scientific instrumentation; * Operate large-volume coordinate measuring metrology equipment, such as: Laser tracker; Articulated arm coordinate measuring machine; Optical level; Terrestrial laser scanner, among others; * Use metrology software for portable equipment, such as *Spatial Analyzer* and *PolyWorks*; * Process measurement and alignment data and prepare technical reports; * Support metrology-assisted assembly activities aimed at integrating and operating precision mechanical systems; * Perform terrestrial 3D scanning/digitization of large environments and structures. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed technical course in Surveying, Geodesy, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields; * Basic knowledge of 3D coordinate measurement systems; * Interest in practical learning and technical development in the field of applied metrology. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Knowledge or experience in large-volume metrology; * Familiarity with equipment such as laser tracker, measuring arm, laser scanner, and total station; * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; * Basic knowledge of GD\&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing); * Basic technical English reading skills (non-eliminatory). **Additional Information** **Our Benefits** Health Insurance – Unimed Dental Insurance – Uniodonto Psychological Support – Telavita Life Insurance – Allianz Private Pension Plan – BrasilPrev Maternity Leave (extended to 6 months) Paternity Leave (25 days) Childcare Assistance On-site Restaurant Meal and/or Food Allowance – Pluxee (R$1\.020,00/mouth) Shuttle Service Transportation Voucher On-site Parking Club – Telecamp Club – Free SESC Association Membership Wellhub – Gym Discounts Partnerships with companies offering discounts **We reaffirm our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, encouraging applications from people with disabilities, neurodiverse individuals, women, LGBTI\+, individuals from diverse ethnicities, generations, and body types, as well as other socially marginalized groups.** At the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), we are driven by passion for science.
