Examples of duties that may fall under a general services assistant include: maintaining workplace cleanliness, organization, and care; assisting with loading and unloading materials as needed; safeguarding workplace facilities and reporting potential issues; sorting discard materials; and assisting colleagues. A restaurant general services assistant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of indoor areas (dining area, kitchen, restrooms, and storage) and outdoor areas. The professional ensures safety and hygiene standards while supporting daily operations and the comfort of customers and staff. **Main Responsibilities** * **Cleaning and Sanitation:** Sweep, mop, and disinfect floors, tables, chairs, counters, and restrooms. Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen utensils when necessary. * **Waste Management:** Collect garbage and debris, separating and disposing of them in accordance with sanitary regulations. * **Environment Organization:** Maintain dining area organization, restock supplies in restrooms, and ensure order in storage areas. * **Operational Support:** Assist with inventory organization, receipt of goods, and transportation of cleaning materials. * **Supply Control:** Monitor inventory levels and expiration dates of cleaning products and materials.
