




Job Summary: A general maintenance professional responsible for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities on electrical, hydraulic, and building systems, requiring technical reasoning and accountability. Requires technical reasoning, responsibility, and attention to detail GENERAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN * **Preventive maintenance:** Periodic inspections of equipment and installations to identify wear, leaks, damaged wires, loose connections, etc. * **Corrective maintenance:** Repairing failures, such as replacing parts, making adjustments, or substituting defective components. * **Predictive maintenance (in some cases):** Analyzing wear indicators to anticipate problems (e.g., noise, vibration, abnormal heating). * **Electrical tasks** Works with low- and medium-complexity electrical systems. * Replacement and repair of **outlets, switches, and circuit breakers** * Identification of short circuits and electrical faults * Routing and organizing electrical wiring * Installation of lighting fixtures and other electrical equipment **Hydraulic tasks** Handles water, sewage, and sometimes gas systems. * Repairing **leaks** in faucets, valves, and toilet tanks * Cleaning and maintaining **water tanks** * Unclogging sinks, drains, and toilets * Checking water pressure and pump operation **Building maintenance** * Minor structural repairs (doors, locks, flooring, painting) * Inspection of common areas and equipment (elevators, pumps, generators — depending on qualifications) * Support during renovations and improvements * Monitoring systems such as lighting and water supply **Organization and control** In addition to technical work, administrative tasks are included: * Recording completed services * Managing tools and materials * Requesting parts and restocking inventory * Planning future maintenance activities **Important skills** * Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems * Ability to perform rapid diagnostics * Organization and attention to detail * Responsibility and sense of urgency * Strong communication skills (especially when interacting with clients and teams) On a daily basis, this professional may spend hours performing routine inspections or be urgently called to resolve critical issues, such as power outages or major leaks.
